Our recent projects involve Disruptive technologies in comprehensive two-dimensional gas chromatography concepts under environmental-friendly approaches for improved separation power in comprehensive two dimensional gas chromatography (GCxGC). We have also established experimental design approach in GCxGC in order to guide column selection and optimize experimental conditions for specific applications using new stationary phases or multiple column arrangements. New simulation software for prediction of GCxGC separations of various samples was developed reducing millions of experiments to manageable experimental task in the future. Apart from the experimental design, we also developed a user-friendly platform of Microsoft Excel spreadsheet and applied in the areas of simulation based learning of of chromatography-mass spectrometry, especially useful for the students to perform virtual experiments at home during this COVID situation.
