We would like to welcome Dr. Waleed Alahmad, our new international faculty to join the Department of Chemistry.
Dr. Waleed Alahmad received his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry from Mahidol University, Thailand under the supervision of Associate Professor Duangjai Nacapricha on developing flow injection systems, gas diffusion devices, and microfluidic paper-based analytical devices. He then completed his postdoctoral training at Chulalongkorn University under the supervision of Associate Professor Pakorn Varanusupakul on developing sample preparation methods for different types of matrices and separation techniques. Dr. Alahmad joined the faculty at the Chemistry Department, at Chulalongkorn University in September 2023. His research group focuses on the design and construction of microfluidic paper-based analytical devices (colorimetric, chemiluminescence, etc.,), flow systems for sample preparation, green sample preparation methodologies, and molecularly imprinted polymer electrochemical sensors. Also, discovering new green materials for both analytical sensing purposes and sample preparation.
