In order to participate in the graduate symposium you should prepare and submit an extended abstract
There is a specific required style for the abstract, to ensure all abstracts are of similar visual design and quality
- Title: Time New Roman, 12pt bold in Title Case, center justified
- Total length of 3 pages maximum
- Abstract: Time New Roman, 11pt, fully justified, line spacing=1, 200 words
- Content: Time New Roman, 11pt, fully justified, line spacing=1, two columns
- References: Use the ACS style. A reference manage is recommened to format properly for you
- Sections: The following sections are required:
- Introduction
- Materials and Methods
- Results and Discussions
- Conclusion
- Figures and Tables:
- Should be captioned and placed closed to where it is referenced in the text
- High quality images only. If previously published it must included its reference and a copyright statement
- Tables and figures should use one column where possible. However when not possible a two column table or figure can be places at the top or bottom of a page.
- Tables should be stylized with horizontal rule only, Times New Roman 10pt, they should not break across a page
